Bon Jovi is at the outset of a new chapter of their career as one of the world’s biggest rock bands. The group recently announced a new album, and made that reveal even more thrilling as they dropped the set’s lead single at the same time. Now, in short order, it’s given the outfit another top 10 hit on a Billboard chart.

“Legendary,” the latest single from Bon Jovi, arrives on a handful of rankings this week. As it launches–on some tallies, at least–the tune has become another quick win for the band.

This week, “Legendary” debuts at No. 8 on Billboard’s Rock Digital Song Sales chart. As its name suggests, the tally ranks the bestselling individual tunes in the country that are classified as rock.

Bon Jovi scores their fifth career top 10 hit on that purchase-only tally with “Legendary.” The tune is also their first new top 10 in at least two years. Their smash “Livin’ on a Prayer” reached a new peak of No. 3 on the list back in May 2022.

“Legendary” marks Bon Jovi’s first track to debut on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart that’s reached the top 10 since 2020. That year, their single “Do What You Can” rose as high as No. 5. It only spent two weeks on the ranking, so it didn’t need very long to reach that height.

Looking at their full discography, Bon Jovi has now reached the Rock Digital Song Sales chart with a dozen tracks. Somewhat surprisingly, it’s only been a few months since the rock band last debuted a tune on the roster. In December of last year, their holiday cut “Christmas Isn’t Christmas” hit No. 15 for a single frame.

Bon Jovi lands one of two debuts on this week’s ranking of the bestselling rock songs in the U.S.—and theirs is the lower of the two. New at No. 1 is “Going Home (Theme From Local Hero)” by Mark Knopfler’s Guitar Heroes. That’s a new supergroup formed by Knopfler, one which includes dozens of well-known names, including Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, and Sheryl Crow, and the song was released to raise funds for charity.

“Legendary” is the first single from Bon Jovi’s forthcoming album Forever. The collection was announced as fans got to hear the song for the first time, but little more is known about the set. At the moment, it doesn’t have a release date, and it’s not clear if the group will tour the project either, as lead singer Jon Bon Jovi has shared that his future of performing live is still up in the air after some health issues.
