Ready to rock with royalty! Jon Bon Jovi steps out in a leather jacket and sunglasses in London ahead of his recording session with Prince Harry at Abbey Road Studios

Jon Bon Jovi looked every inch the rock legend when stepping out in London today ahead of his meeting with Prince Harry.

The Livin’ On A Prayer hitmaker, 57, donned a fashionable leather jacket with a pair of sunglasses, black jeans and boots, as he signed autographs for the crowd of fans waiting outside the BBC Radio 2 Studios.

His appearance in the capital comes ahead of his recording session with the Invictus Games choir to rerecord his song Unbroken to promote this year’s tournament.

The song will be recorded in Studio 2 at Abbey Road Studios in London on Friday 28 February, and the Duke of Sussex, 35, who founded the games, will be in attendance.

It is the first engagement in the UK for Prince Harry, who has been staying in Canada with his wife Meghan and son Archie since announcing the couple’s intention to step back from royal duties.

Looking effortlessly suave, Jon offered smile after smile for his adoring admirers when making his way through the waiting crowd.

He teamed his black leather jacket with a white and black striped shirt from Sandro, and left the top couple of buttons undone.

The You Give Love A Bad Name singer’s parents both served in the U.S. Marine Corps and his song, Unbroken, was created by ‘Jon Bon Jovi to shine a spotlight on veterans living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and honour their service,’ a statement read.

Meanwhile, the Invictus Games choir is made up of veterans and serving personnel from the British military.

The song will be recorded in Studio 2 at Abbey Road Studios in London, which was made famous by The Beatles who recorded 11 out of their 13 albums there.

Proceeds from the sale of the record will go to the foundation that supports the competition, a sporting event for sick and injured veterans that is one of Prince Harry’s favourite causes.

The duke, who served in the British military before he took on full-time royal duties, staged the first games in 2014, and in September 2019 celebrated its fifth anniversary.

He was inspired to found the global tournament after attending the Warrior Games in Colorado in 2013 and seeing how injured American military personnel thrived on the challenge of taking part in competitive sports aiding their recovery.

The royal went on to stage the inaugural games in London’s Olympic Park in 2014, followed by Orlando in 2016, Toronto in 2017 and Sydney in 2018, with The Hague chosen for the 2020 event where 500 competitors will take part in ten adaptive sports.

Organisers have said that after 2020, Invictus will be staged every two years.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will take part in just six more engagements before they officially step down on March 31 and close their Buckingham Palace office.
