The Met Gala always brings out the biggest and brightest stars in the fashion industry, but what do the actual stars say about the fashion itself?

Seeing all the celebrities flock to the Met steps is one highlight of the evening, particularly for those who can’t wait to see how they interpret the year’s theme.

Dramatic and memorable sartorial moments are de rigeur for the celebrities who attend: Who can forget Zendaya’s Cinderella moment in 2019 or Blake Lively’s ode to New York City when she co-chaired in 2022?

In honor of the fashion extravaganza, PEOPLE spoke with astrologer and bestselling author Lisa Stardust to see which iconic Met Gala looks represent each zodiac sign.

Are you more camp Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift entering her Reputation era? Find out below.

Each Zodiac Has a Spring Style Must-Have — Here’s Yours, According to an Astrologer

Taylor Swift: Aries

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Swift’s hottest Met Gala look is attributed to the Fire sign, Aries. As Stardust points out “Aries are known to be the warrior sign of the zodiac and the outfits,” and Swift’s metallic Louis Vuitton mini from 2016 not only gives off full armor, but also portrays the bold mindset of an Aries. Additionally, Swift looked like she was “ready for the games to begin” as she leaned into the sporty look, like Aries aesthetic tends to be, allowing the sign room to “exert their fiery sentiments,” Stardust adds.

Lady Gaga: Taurus

As she served as a co-chair for the event in 2019, Lady Gaga went full camp in her hot pink gown that underwent several iterations as she walked the carpet. With pink representing Venus, the planetary ruler of Taurus, Lady Gaga‘s look resonates with the Earth sign, according to Stardust. “This dress is full of love for indulgence and decadence, like every Taurus,” Stardust adds of Gaga’s memorable four-part look.

Jared Leto: Gemini

Jared Leto certainly turned heads (pun intended) with his 2019 Met Gala look for Camp: Notes on Fashion. The star, who carried a 3D model of his own head, was a perfect embodiment of the Air sign, according to Stardust: “Jared Leto’s costume aligns with the zodiac sign because of its dualistic nature since the twin star is ruled by Gemini.” The sign is also known to be clever and unpredictable, which is certainly what Leto’s looks bring each year.

Zendaya: Cancer

Cancer signs are known to love tradition and are often nostalgic for the past, which makes Zendaya’s Cinderella-themed gown from 2019 the perfect outfit for this sign. Additionally, Stardust adds that “every stylish Cancer likes to glow up energetically like the Moon that rules the water sign,” which perfectly represents Zendaya’s light-up gown.

Katy Perry: Leo

Leos love to be the center of attention, and Katy Perry certainly was that as she donned huge angel wings for the theme “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination” in 2018. “Leo loves to make an entrance, and this costume surely did turn heads,” Stardust notes of the “Roar” singer. “Since Leo aims to attain notoriety, she brought that energy to the Met Gala like any bold lion would.”

Beyoncé: Virgo

Of course Queen Bey would channel her own zodiac sign for the Met Gala. Though Virgos often have a “straightforward aesthetic,” per Stardust, “they also want to be able to ooze sensuality in a primal way,” which describes Beyoncé’s sheer dress from 2015 to a tee. As Stardust adds, the outfit is “impressive without overdoing it,” which is the perfect Virgo look.

Blake Lively: Libra

When she served as the co-chair for the Met Gala in 2022, Blake Lively certainly channeled a balanced Libra with this New York City-inspired gown. Not only did she bring sophistication and elegance with her look, key character traits of a Libra, but she also portrayed the duality of the sign as her dress changed from metallic copper to pale green when she undid the bustled train, representing the Statue of Liberty’s patination over time.

Cardi B: Scorpio

According to Stardust, “Scorpios tend to have a mystical vibe,” which is why Cardi B’s dark red dress from 2019 perfectly aligns with the sign’s “intense demeanor.” The rapper certainly channeled the ambitious Water sign with this custom oxblood Thom Browne gown that took 35 people more than 2,000 hours to create.

Rihanna: Sagittarius

Rihanna’s multi-layered look from 2017 encapsulates a Sagittarius, who “likes to mix things up and take on a lot of different philosophies,” according to Stardust. “The chic styling and cool vibe is party ready, just like those born under the Fire sign,” Stardust adds.

Sarah Jessica Parker: Capricorn

Sarah Jessica Parker is always ambitious with her Met Gala looks, but this particular ensemble for 2022’s theme “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”, was more practical than some of her styles from the past, which is the perfect description of a Capricorn. “This elegant dress worn by Sarah Jessica Parker at the Met Gala speaks to Capicorn’s personal design choice, which is something that has structure that is easy to wear,” Stardust notes, adding that the Earth sign will love this dress as it “can be worn again in years to come.”

Jennifer Lopez: Aquarius

Jennifer Lopez arrives for the 2019 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 6, 2019, in New York.

As Jennifer Lopez leaned into a flapper look for 2019’s “Camp: Notes on Fashion”, she aligned with “Aquarius’ flair for vintage style and fashion,” Stardust says. Additionally, Stardust notes that the matching beaded wig “speaks to Aquarius’ unique aesthetic;” the sign is known to be creative and eccentric.

 Kim Kardashian: Pisces

One of Kim Kardashian’s most memorable looks at the Met Gala: this molded Mugler “wet” look dress from 2019 that perfectly symbolized the Water sign, Pisces. The sign is also known to be dreamy and imaginative, which certainly embodies Kardashian’s mermaid-esque attire, including her beachy waves and sultry makeup.
