For numerous years, the Milwaukee Bucks have relied heavily on Giannis Antetokounmpo as their leader. Antetokounmpo lived up to expectations by guiding the Bucks to victory in the 2021 NBA Championship. However, the team has faced challenges in replicating that success in subsequent playoffs.

In an effort to bolster their lineup, the Bucks made a significant move by trading for Damian Lillard, creating one of the most anticipated dynamic duos in the league. Despite the high expectations for Lillard to elevate the team’s status in the Eastern Conference, the 8-time NBA All-Star has experienced inconsistency during the 2023-24 NBA season.

Nevertheless, Lillard achieved a noteworthy milestone while playing for the Bucks, moving up in the NBA’s all-time 3-pointers made list. Surpassing Reggie Miller, he secured the fourth spot with 2,564 3-pointers, compared to Miller’s 2,560.

Antetokounmpo, though not displaying an elaborate reaction, expressed his support for Lillard through a brief tweet using a single emoji. The night, however, had a mixed tone for Lillard and the Bucks as they suffered a narrow 122-123 defeat against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Despite Lillard’s commendable performance, contributing 28 points, 5 rebounds, and 12 assists in 38 minutes, the Bucks are grappling with a two-game losing streak following an undefeated run since the All-Star break.
