Though they are no longer teammates on the court, Hailey Van Lith and Flau’Jae Johnson continue to collaborate in the NIL field.
Johnson and Van Lith worked together on a NIL contract with Apple Cash. The two are seen chatting in a social media promo, with Johnson making fun of Van Lith’s baking. It is not surprising that these two, who have led NIL in women’s collegiate basketball, would sign a contract with a significant corporation like Apple.
“Commissioned by #AppleCash. Basketball is a piece of cake. So is sending cash. @haileyvanlith @flaujae,” the post on Instagram said.
According to On3, Johnson has the 14th-best NIL valuation in college sports at 1.2 million. Van Lith, who recently transferred to TCU, sits 70th per On3’s NIL 100. Van Lith currently holds NIL agreements with the following companies: Invesco QQQ, Adidas (Adidas Ultraboost 1.0 sneakers), Billionaire Girls Club, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sierato, Billionaire Girls Club, and the Tigers NIL Store (LSU clothing).
The former Tiger entered the transfer portal following LSU’s season and eventually committed to the TCU Horned Frogs in what should be her final season.
Van Lith had come under fire regarding her play against Iowa in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. She could not control Caitlin Clark, which caused her to come under considerable criticism.
Throughout the entire game, Hailey Van Lith’s difficult defensive assignment was to try to limit Clark. She was unable to withstand Clark’s attacking strength, though, as she scored 41 points. Cameras captured Hailey looking extremely irritated as she looked on helplessly during the match versus Clark.
Hailey Van Lith Loses Teammate After She Took Her Talents To TCU
Hailey Van Lith, who joined LSU this past season and reached the Elite Eight with the defending national champion before a loss to Caitlin Clark and Iowa, decided to continue her career at TCU for her fifth and final season.
One day after Hanna Cavinder revealed she was returning to the Hurricanes, twin sister Haley Cavinder said she was de-committing from TCU and headed back to Miami as well. Her decision came right after Van Lith showed up.
Van Lith averaged 11.6 points and 3.6 assists in her first and only season with LSU. Those numbers are expected to grow next year.
