ESPN has taken a very strong stance against Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley.
Beverley hardly covered himself in glory on Thursday night as he put on a petulant display on the court, as well as in the locker room while being interviewed by reporters.
Following the Bucks’ loss to the Indiana Pacers, Beverley refused to speak to ESPN producer Malinda Adams because she wasn’t subscribed to his podcast. He let her know she wasn’t allowed to interview him and later asked her to get her mic out of his face.
As if that wasn’t enough, he asked her to leave.
“Can you move that mic and get out of the circle for me please, mam? If you’re not subscribed to my pod? Thank you, I appreciate that,” he said.
Whether the NBA will fine him for his disrespectful actions is unknown, but ESPN has reportedly made a decision on the veteran guard.
Beverley has been a guest on shows such as ‘First Take’ and ‘Get Up’ in the past and has valuable insight to offer. But he’s going to have to dish it out from his podcast from now on.
The NBA Is Looking Into Patrick Beverley For Something Else
Patrick Beverley should also be in trouble with the league for throwing a basketball at Pacers fans nearing the end of last night’s game.
The guard was shown hitting a female fan in the head with a ball before getting it back and throwing it at another fan.
He has since apologized for his behavior toward Adams, who revealed as much on social media.
“I want to thank everyone for their kind words and support,” she wrote on Twitter/X. “I am humbled. Patrick Beverley just called me and apologized. I appreciate it and accept it. The Bucks also reached out to apologize. I’ve been in news for over 40 years and kindness and grace always win.” v
