The last clash between Orlando Magic and Milwaukee Bucks in the regular season witnessed the supremacy of the former team and the latter’s amusement. The opponents failed to hold themselves back when the Bucks’ Thanasis Antetokounmpo decided to provide a jovial moment in the intense game.

With a few seconds left in the final quarter, Thanasis stomped forward to give it a last try. The forward found himself in an open space following a pass from the rebound. With an open opportunity near the basket, Thanasis went for a dunk. Instead of being strained, the Magic bench burst into laughter after the shot as the ball didn’t pass through the bucket but came out after hitting the rim.
To make things worse, he contributed only two points and an assist in seven minutes.
Thanasis’ miss grabbed more eyes than the Bucks’ disappointing 113-88 loss. The video soon circulated on social media, and NBA fans were quick to mock Thanasis again.
Internet reacts to Thanasis Antetokounmpo’s missed dunk
As if the embarrassment from the opponents weren’t enough for Thanasis, the hoop lovers jumped in on social media to share their views on the miss. Here’s what the fans wrote after Rob Perez posted the video on X (formerly known as Twitter):
A fan wrote, “he really maybe the worst player in the nba”.
Another fan sarcastically commented, “You know it’s bad when the other team is disappointed in you.”
Suggesting that Thanasis should be a ball in college basketball, someone wrote, “He should be a NCAA ball boy”.
Surprised by the miss, a fan commented, “Does he do this on purpose or what?”
“I want to see this dudes college highlights”, added another fan.
An NBA fan commented, “giannis deserves more hate for making the Bucks keep his brother on the team”, hinting at Giannis’ influence in adding his brother to the team.
Seconding the opinion, another fan commented, “giannis this is all your fault”.
While someone humorously commented, ‘I think Thanasis is out to personally disprove the theory that “The worst NBA player would destroy any off the street player.”‘
Suggesting an early retirement for the forward, a fan wrote, “He should legit retire. He’s clearly not a basketball player and nobody respects him”.
Another user stated, “Nah, he’s horrible man”.
The Bucks will face the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoff series. With his brother Giannis’ uncertain return date, Thanasis and the squad need to improve their game to continue their run in the postseason.
