Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday will represent Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics. There was no room for Jaylen Brown. Tatum and Brown have both won Olympic Gold Medals before. It will be interesting to see how a deep playoff run with the Boston Celtics could affect their playing time for Steve Kerr during the summer.

Nevertheless, the Celtics will likely feel like they’re being well-represented on a team that could go down in history as the modern-day dream team. The other players to be confirmed as part of the roster as Steph Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, Devin Booker, Tyrese Haliburton, Anthony Edwards, Bam Adebayo and Anthony Davis.

During his last outing at the Olympics, Tatum averaged 15.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. Holiday was also part of that roster and provided the team with 11.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.

Team USA still has one open roster spot. The Athletic’s Shams Charania has reported that space is likely for Kawhi Leonard should he choose to participate in the tournament.

Tatum and Holiday could head to Paris as newly crowned NBA champions. At least, that will be their goal heading into the playoffs. Nevertheless, Team USA looks poised to dominate the basketball division in the Olympics, which could give Boston a two-time Gold Medalist duo heading into next season.
