Four Boston Celtics greats, including three Hall of Fame players, signed autographs for fans Saturday as part of the grand opening weekend celebration at the Dick’s House of Sport.

Dozens of people waited in line in the rain outside the House of Sport on Boylston Street for a chance to get basketballs and other memorabilia signed by Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Robert Parish and Cedric Maxwell.

The four Celtics legends, each of whom has had their jersey numbers retired by the team, won two NBA championships as a group in 1981 and 1984.

Bird, McHale and Parish won a third NBA title together in 1986, and Parish won a fourth ring in 1997 with Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. Each member of Boston’s first “Big Three” has been enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.

In addition, former Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron will be at the House of Sport from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Bergeron, a key member of Boston’s 2011 Stanley Cup championship team, played all 19 of his NHL seasons with the Bruins. He retired in July 2023.
